I’m back with another video – this week I’m breaking down what you can expect to spend in a month as a language assistant in France (TAPIF program).

I know for any first-year assistants (especially those who are funding this experience themselves), the ~830 euros/month stipend can sound daunting. I remember all too well this stress of whether that was really going to be enough to live on.

Of course, spending is relative to everyone’s personal lifestyle, but I’m sharing my very REAL personal spending for the month of March to hopefully give you a realistic perspective on how far the stipend can stretch.

I broke my spending into 5 categories: fixed bills, groceries, dining out, shopping, and travel.

Whether you’re applying to TAPIF or just curious about the cost of living in France, I hope this video helps you feel more prepared (and less stressed!) about what to expect.
