Following the historical return after over 50 years since the captures, L Pod returned to Penn Cove for a second day in a row.
Note: footage is shaky because of high winds.
With the gale force winds creating swells on the surface, L Pod seemed to enjoy it displaying a variety of surface behaviors. Many of the youngsters were very playful, while L88 Wave Walker and L87 Onyx showed some impressive breaches close to shore.
L Pod is a member of the critically endangered Southern Resident killer whale population and consists of 33 total members.
