Bangkok Market Hopping, Mall Adventures & a Magical River Cruise

We kicked things off at Or Tor Kor Market, one of the cleanest and most curated fresh markets in the city. Breakfast here is always a win—fresh, flavorful, and buzzing with local energy. From tropical fruit to sizzling street dishes, it’s the perfect morning warm up.

From there, we dove straight into the legendary Chatuchak Weekend Market. Hours disappeared as we wandered through endless aisles of clothes, crafts, plants, and quirky finds. After all that walking, Nikita and I treated ourselves to a $7 foot massage—yes, seven dollars. Absolute bliss.

Next stop: Icon Siam, Bangkok’s mega mall masterpiece. We made a beeline for Popmart because Pook had her heart set on snagging some Labubu collectibles. Mission accomplished. Then we indulged in specialty desserts at the PopMart Café—super cute, super fun, and… let’s just say the prices matched the aesthetic.

The night wrapped up in the most magical way. We boarded the Unicorn Cruise, which launches right from Icon Siam, for a dinner cruise along the Chao Phraya River. As we floated past temples and city lights, the sky lit up with fireworks from the Vijit Chao Phraya 2025: River of Light Festival. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect.
