Resin Art - The Feather

Описание: Sally asked for a resin art template of a feather and this is what I came up with. Once I had the template designed I figured i should make a feather shaped acrylic panel to put it on. Its all a learning process, but i was able to offset the outline of the feather template by 5mm and cut it out using our laser cutter and i think it came out pretty great!

i toyed with the idea of making it a window art piece, but in the end I decided I needed it to be shimmery and color shifting like some exotic feathers are and so i went with some of our holographic glitters. To contrast those i also used a plain glitter and some resin dye. The result is a sparkly shimmery purple feather that sometimes looks gold, sometimes blue and sometimes a whole rainbow of colors - but mostly purple.

I'm hoping Sally likes it! and everyome else too.

As usual with colorshift and holographic glitters it was a beast to photograph and video the finished piece, but hopefully you get some idea of how cool it looks from what I managed to capture.
