This is a short sample of the aural questioning for the loud and soft singing voice in kindergarten. The loud singing voice is not always in tune and takes all year to refine. They need lots of reminders! This curriculum is from Kodály in the Kindergarten Classroom by Dr. Micheál Houlahan and Dr. Philip Tacka. I trained with them and helped field test and pilot this curriculum for Kindergarten.
My name is Lauren Bain, and I teach K-5 music in a Title 1 school in New Braunfels, Texas.
