Touch 'n Go or TnG smart card is a contactless smart card and the first non-touch smart card-based electronic payment system and pioneered the introduction of the Visa Wave credit card and PayPass MasterCard in Malaysia. The oni card can also be used with SmartTAG, a complementary vehicle and in-vehicle electronic payment system.
In addition, Touch n' Go is also a national e-wallet with a national credit card for the transportation industry and can be used anywhere to display the Touch 'n Go logo. This card pioneered the Malaysian government to introduce an integrated electronic payment system and a single ticketing system for road tolls, public transport tickets, vehicle parking fees and amusement park entrance fees. Touch 'n Go was officially launched in March 1997.
Touch 'n Go is a system designed to process up to 800 vehicles per hour to reduce congestion queues at toll plazas and when used in conjunction with SmartTAG (a non-stop electronic toll collection system), will be able to process up to 1,200 vehicles per hour.
