This channel is called Second-Hand Bench.
And I want to be clear right up front this isn’t a how-to channel.

I’m not a watchmaker.
I don’t have formal training.
And I’m not here to teach anyone how to do anything.

I started this channel because I wanted to learn how mechanical watches work… the slow way.
By sitting at a bench, taking things apart, making mistakes, and figuring it out as I go.

You’re going to see my pitfalls.
I’ll cut things too short.
I’ll choose the wrong approach.
Sometimes I’ll get in over my head before I realize it.

And sometimes… a watch just won’t make it.

That’s part of this.

This channel isn’t about speed or optimization.
It’s not about shortcuts.
And it’s definitely not about pretending I know more than I do.

It’s about patience.
Curiosity.
And respect for old mechanical things.

I’m documenting the journey not giving instructions.
What works, what doesn’t, and what I learn along the way.
