Описание: A trip back in time along a small section of the former Pacific Electric (PE) route, the legendary railroad that connected the city of Azusa to the city of Monrovia in Los Angeles County CA. since the early 20th century, running on approximately 12 miles of track.
The Pacific Electric Railway, was one of the most extensive rail networks of its time, with over 1,100 miles of track linking the cities surrounding Los Angeles
On this short tour, we will explore a short section of the route that linked Azusa and Monrovia, passing through iconic locations such as Duarte and Irwindale. Although there are no traces of the PE's golden age in these cities, we can still appreciate the old infrastructure, such as the bridge over the San Gabriel River, which no longer crosses the tracks.
The Azusa-Monrovia line ceased service on May 1, 1951, marking the end of an era for public transportation in the region.
Our railcar ride will be short but intense, and will allow us to relive the excitement of travelling along the old PE tracks.

ESPAÑOL =Un viaje en el tiempo por una pequeña parte de la antigua ruta del Pacific Electric (PE), el legendario ferrocarril que conectaba la ciudad de Azusa con la ciudad de Monrovia en el condado de Los Ángeles CA. desde principios del siglo XX, recorriendo aproximadamente 12 millas de vías.
La Pacific Electric Railway, fue una de las redes ferroviarias más extensas de su época, con más de 1.100 millas de vías que unían las ciudades alrededores de Los Angeles
En este breve recorrido, exploraremos una breve sección de la ruta que unía Azusa y Monrovia, pasando por lugares emblemáticos como Duarte e Irwindale. Aunque ya no quedan rastros de la época dorada del PE en estas ciudades, aún podemos apreciar la antigua infraestructura, como el puente sobre el río San Gabriel, que ya no cruza las vías.
La línea Azusa-Monrovia dejó de circular el 1 de mayo de 1951, marcando el fin de una era para el transporte público en la región.
Nuestro viaje en railcart será corto pero intenso, y nos permitirá revivir la emoción de recorrer las antiguas vías del PE.
