We had to repair a ski binding with a part we made using a 3-D printer. In the process of removing this part and trying on new parts the holes in the ski stripped out and left a hole in the fiberglass ski that would no longer hold the screw. The two screws would just spin and not hold the binding down. I used a sheet rock anchor to make the screw engage into the ski and so far it has worked great. Time will tell how well this works. I will keep you posted. These skis were old and beat up anyway so we did not want to spend much money on fixing them.
This could save you money vs. using helicoil. My fix was free. The Heli-Coil kits are $150

Also you could combine my method with the use of Epoxy for an even stronger hold. I will test it and let you know in the comments how it is holding up.
