Veteran all-rounder Deepti Sharma's decisive performance, including a responsible half-century and taking 5 crucial wickets, was pivotal. She was deservedly named Player of the Tournament for her all-round display. Shafali Verma was declared Player of the Match for her all-round brilliance, scoring 87 runs and taking 2 wickets. Meanwhile, South Africa's dream of winning their first-ever World Cup final remained unfulfilled.
