DIY || Hot Wire Foam Cutter!

Описание: I had a great time building this cutter and I'm sure it will come in handy on my future foam projects. If you decide to make your own Hot Wire Foam Cutter below is some information that may be useful. Also, I would recommend watching a few other video on the subject and come up with a design that will best suit your needs and most of all: just have fun with it!

I already had:
18” x 18” ¾” MDF
(2) – 18” 2x4
Wire – Salvaged from old pc speakers (16 gauge)
Wall Plug - cut from old hot glue gun
Heat Shrink Tubing
Washers

Home Depot:
3/16” x 1-1/2” Zinc Eye bolts w/ nuts - $1.18
1” x 2’ PVC Pipe - $1.98
(2) - 1” PVC 90-degree elbow - $1.46
1” PVC Slip Cap - $0.73
Extension Spring 4pc 7/16x1.5” & 7/16x2.5” – $3.84
(used the 1.5” spring)
DURASTEEL SS Wire 9ft roll - $3.98
600w ON/OFF Dimmer Switch - $6.99
Dimmer Wall Plate - $0.48
Box of Drywall Screws - $2.99 (In haste I purchased these but, would recommend a sturdier wood screw)
