Major highlights include ₹18,000 crore for Rythu Bharosa, ₹14,861 crore for the Cheyutha pension scheme, and ₹4,305 crore for the Mahalakshmi scheme (free bus travel and ₹2,500 monthly aid). A groundbreaking "Indiramma Family Life Insurance Scheme" was also announced, providing ₹5 lakh coverage to 1.15 crore families starting June 2, 2026. With ₹26,674 crore for education and ₹13,679 crore for healthcare—the highest ever for the sector—the government has termed this a "people-centric" budget aimed at achieving a one-trillion-dollar economy while ensuring no section of society is left behind.
