On our last day in Venice we took a day trip to visit the beautiful islands of Murano and Burano. It's just a quick boat ride from Venice city with the Vaporetto.
On Murano we were able to see some glass blowing in action! It was so interesting and the guide told us all about the story of the island, and how they become professional glass masters. It only cost us 6 euros (per person) to see the glass blowing demonstration at Gino Mazzuccato.
Later we coughed the vaporetto over to Burano which is known for lace work and crocheting. But most famously Burano has these iconic colourful houses. It's just stunning and so well kept, love walking these streets.
We had a brilliant time in Venice and it was easy to fill our 3 days in this city!
