Welcome to Lesson 7 of our Arabic Alphabet Course.
In this lesson, you will learn how Arabic letters change shape depending on their position in a word.
In Arabic, most letters have different forms when they appear:
• At the beginning of a word
• In the middle of a word
• At the end of a word
For example, letters like:
• ت
• ن
change their shape depending on where they are in the word.
You will also learn that some letters do NOT connect to the letter after them, such as:
• د
• ذ
• ر
• ز
• و
Understanding connected and non-connected letters is essential for reading and writing Arabic correctly.
