Members of the Parliamentary committee on defence and Internal Affairs led by Mityana Woman MP Judith Nabakooba have visited Luzira Prisons to assess the state of the facility. The MPs heard sad tales of inmates who have been on remand for over five years without trial. This is coupled with the deplorable conditions they live in; critical among them congestion and poor sanitary conditions.
