Описание: Nestled in an industrial park in Nashville, not all that far from the bustling downtown districts of Broadway and The Gulch, rest three engines owned by the Nashville & Western Railroad. These engines are unique, as they are not only vintage B23-7 models produced in the late 1970s, but all three units retain their former paint schemes from their past fallen flag owners. The units served the Nashville & Western railroad for a number of years before being retired, and have been sitting dormant here since I arrived to town in 2020. Unfortunately, any hope these engines had of running again was stripped away quite literally by people stealing the copper wiring from the locomotives, deeming them pretty much useless. As cool as it would be to see these locomotives run, history can only outlast progress on the railroad for so long, and Tennessee is fortunate to have a number of other railroads with active B23-7s that still run today.
