Arriving in 1923 in the New York Harbor, the Sisters of St. Francis of the Martyr St. George are now based in Alton, Illinois. Seeking to make the Merciful Love of Christ visible, we are simply ready to respond to the needs of the Church and to receive Christ's mercy in all the places of our hearts.
This video was shown as part of our centennial celebration in December 2023. We hope it provides you with a little glimpse of our history here in the United States!
