EP. 127 My -$3,312 Loss - Failed Breakout Trade

Описание: The market was trending down just after the market opened, however, it was in a multi-week bull rally. The mistake I made is I was trying to predict a break in the trend, when the trend was really strong. Instead of letting the trend break and retest or pullback, I was trying to catch the breakout, as soon it breaks and this costed me big. Additionally, a double botton was formed in the past, and the market reversed just when I took my trade. I should have also not moved my stop loss, and what would have been a 10 point loss turned out to be a 70 point loss.
Lessons learned: Never try to predict the market change in trend, wait for the trend to change and then step into it. Never move your stop loss. I could have changed my direction and got back in the trade, now I am down soo much more.
