From Leon Russell's 1975 album Will O' The Wisp, with the hits “Back To The Island” and “Lady Blue,” here is his mesmerizing song "Can't Get Over Losing You." Get your headphones on! It is among Russell's oddest instrumental endeavors, with Minora Muraoka playing the Japanese Wooden Flute and Masako Hirayama playing a Biwa, which is a short-necked Japanese Lute. JJ Cale played all the guitar tracks while Leon handled the RMI, piano and Clavinet. Leon's latest love interest, Mary McCreary shook the tambourine and multi-tracked herself for the background vocals. As the intro segues to the vocals Mary asks, “Can I hear the other part too?,” then Leon ends the take saying, “Let’s go ahead and listen to that.”
