Описание: Donor liver matching is a simple process which only requires compatibility of the blood groups of the donor and the recipient. This means, either both should have the same blood group or the donor should have the O blood group, which is a universal donor. Acute rejection occurs in about 30% of the cases but it occurs in the early weeks due to the activity of the immune system. Chronic rejection occurs in about 5% of the cases and is usually not a big worry as long as patients are being taken care of properly.
