Several shots of the Australian airman Charles Ulm and his co-pilot George Littlejohn and navigator John Skilling checking the plane before their departure from Oakland, California. They are attempting to fly from Vancouver to Melbourne.

While plane is flying, voiceover informs us that the plane crushed somewhere in Pacific and although the search is still going on, chances of finding the men alive are small.
Note: The plane ditched on the 3 December 1934.
