Now Paul went to the synagogue to proclaim His name

But with that he only increased in strength and continued to preach
When many days had passed, the Jews plotted to kill him
But his disciples came by night and took him from the building
He travelled to Jerusalem with the Holy Spirit in him
to join up with the apostles, but their trust would not be given
He then befriended Barnabas who vouched for him and his story
And so he went in among them and preached the gospel boldly
Now the Spirit set Paul apart from the church in Antioch
So after praying they laid their hands on him and sent him off
to the island of Cyprus, along with him was Barnabas
There he came across the magician Elymas of Salamis
A son of the devil, full of all deceit and villainy
who sought to turn Sergius away from the Holy Trinity
But Paul blinded the sorcerer who fought against the Word
and Sergius the proconsul believed when he saw what occurred
Now Paul and his companion set sail away from Paphos
Back to Antioch to preach Christ on the day of Sabbath
Eventually Paul and Barnabas had fallen into conflict
and when they parted ways, Paul took with him Silas the prophet
They brought the gospel to anyone who had yet to hear it
and let God rework their hearts through the bestowment of the Spirit
Now they prayed and sang hymns and all the prisoners would listen
For when he cast out the pythian spirit, they'd been imprisoned
But suddenly an earthquake shook open every cell
Striking fear deep within the heart of the keeper of the jail
Paul cried out, do thyself no harm, for we are all here
And then the keeper called for lights, rushed in and trembled with fear
He fell down before them and said, what must I do to be saved?
They said, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved
