A flavourful and tasty Mutton gravy recipe popularly known as Mutton Phal in Bangalore. Simple and quick recipe. Ingredients are listed below:
Ingredients:
500 GMS Mutton,
1 Medium-sized Onion,
12 Green Chillies,
A handful of Coriander Leaves,
2 TBSP Coconut Paste,
1 TBSP Ginger Garlic Paste,
1 TBSP Black Pepper,
3 Cloves,
2 Cardamom,
1 Cinnamon Stick,
1/2 TSP Turmeric Powder,
1 1/2 TSP Salt (As per taste)
Method:
Step 1: Grind Coriander leaves, green chillies, black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon, and cloves into a thick paste this is our Phal masala.
Step 2: Add some oil in a pot and once the oil is hot, add onions and sauté until golden brown.
Step 3: Add ginger garlic paste and Phal masala until the raw smell from it goes away.
Step 4: Add coconut paste and sauté until you get a pleasant aroma.
Step 5: Add Turmeric powder and salt and sauté for 5 minutes.
Step 6: Add the mutton and mix well, Pressure cook it for 4 whistles.
Step 7: Your Mutton phal is now ready!!! Enjoy this with hot roti or Parantha.
