MK6 Volkswagen Jetta 1.4TSI (CAVD/CTHD) Timing Chain Replacement

Описание: Hi! Thanks for watching. I’m replacing the timing chain on my MK6 Jetta 1.4TSI (CTHD). This procedure & parts are the same for CAVD engines as well. Usually, if the timing chain has stretched too much, an error code should appear. In my case, there were no errors.. Also got it inspected at Volkswagen SC Puchong for confirmation as they have the right tools to measure timing chain elongation. Further details are in the video…

For bolts, just buy them at any VW SC. They’re dirt cheap. Place an order & wait 2 weeks. I got mine from VW SC Puchong PHS. Use these links below for reference. Get genuine components for timing related parts & OEM for the rest if you’re on a budget or just follow my list. If you’ve opted for OEM parts, brands I can surely recommend is INA SCHAEFFLER / FAG / DAYCO. I’ve personally tried these brands & can vouch that they last long enough.
