Clean Agri-Tech Accelerator (CATA) Information Session

Описание: Applications are now open for the Clean Agri-Tech Accelerator (CATA), a new national program designed to advance pre-market, innovative clean technology in Canada’s agriculture sector.

With both funding and mentorship through Bioenterprise Canada’s Food & Agri-Tech Engine and its regional and national collaborators, CATA supports projects that will reduce greenhouse gas emissions, enhance sustainability, and align with Canada’s environmental goals, fostering a more productive, sustainable, and competitive future for all Canadians.
Successful recipients will receive up to $200,000 in non-repayable matching contributions. Along with funding, recipients will also have access to The Engine’s specialized industry expertise, business coaching, and network support.

CATA is led and delivered by Bioenterprise Canada, in collaboration with project partners across Canada, including SVG Ventures | THRIVE, Zone AgTech, and the Canadian Agri-Food Automation and Intelligence Network (CAAIN).

CATA is funded under the Agricultural Clean Technology (ACT) Program Research and Innovation Stream – Accelerator (ACT Accelerator), delivered by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC), which aims to advance the development of clean technology for adoption in agriculture across Canada.

Program Highlights
• $100,000–$200,000 in non-repayable matching funding
• Support for pre-commercial clean technologies at TRL 6–8, advancing toward 7-9
• Validation and demonstration projects with eligible Project Partners
• Access to mentorship, industry expertise, and national networks
• Focus on technologies that reduce emissions and improve environmental sustainability

• Low-carbon energy and fuel systems
• Emissions quantification technologies
• Technologies that reduce emissions from fertilizer use
• Agricultural waste reduction or reuse
• Other technologies that improve environmental sustainability across Canada's agriculture sector
