Learn how to harvest broccoli and the side shoots for maximum production. I've been growing vegetables year-round in Austin, Texas for over ten years. When I plant broccoli in the fall I'm able to get multiple harvests of the tender side shoots into early spring. Broccoli is great roasted in the oven with garlic or prepared in a cured salad. If you have a surplus of homegrown broccoli try blanching and freezing.
