From the very first moment I heard Bitty McLean's 'On Bond Street' album, I knew that there was something special in the making, as I recognized almost all the backing tracks from old Treasure Isle Records hits, but knew nothing about the lyrics and harmonies. A couple of years later I discovered 'Old School, Young Blood' in a record shop in Madrid, and that definitely made me fall in love with the sound of Lady Lex's voice, with Peter Hunningale's, Natijah's and all the singers on the Peckings' stable. As the years passed I came to know the shop in Askew Road and both Chris and Duke, and my obsession with the sound they create has only gone deeper and deeper since then. I ALWAYS play these records in my selections and here I dedicate a whole session to the sound we love. Long live Peckings!!
