Formed in 2019, Iron Vulture started the way the real ones do: busted gear, late nights, and an obsession with riffs that hit like a wrecking ball. Frontman Rafe “Grinder” Calloway built his voice in a garage with a cheap mic and a mean streak. Guitarist Cole “Hatchet” Raines was a local guitar tech chasing the perfect grind—pinch harmonics, dive-bombs, and hooks that make the whole room move. They locked in with Jett Marrow on bass (thick low-end punch, pick attack, zero mercy) and Miles “Riot” Kincaid on drums (machine-tight groove, brutal fills, unbreakable timing).

By 2021, their shows earned a reputation: no backing tracks, no gimmicks—just sweat, volume, and pit-fueling groove. Their DIY EP “Concrete Baptism” spread through the underground because it didn’t sound polished… it sounded real. In 2023, after a hard stretch of tours, breakdowns, and near breakups, they dropped their statement track: “No Saints in the Pit.” That’s Iron Vulture in one sentence—heavy, hooky, and unapologetic.
