芥川高校和太鼓部は毎年1曲ずつ地元の高槻市にゆかりのある歴史上の人物や出来事を取材して太鼓曲を作って演奏している。そして大阪芸文祭ではその曲を演奏して第1位となり、今回で6連覇を達成。
Every year, the Akutagawa High School taiko club composes and performs one taiko piece based on a historical figure or event related to our hometown of Takatsuki City. They then perform that piece at the Osaka artistic cultural Festival, where they take first place, and have now won six consecutive championships.
シリーズ第6弾となる今回の主人公は、百人一首の「難波潟 短き葦の 節の間も 逢わでこの世を 過ぐしてよとや」で有名な伊勢。彼女は晩年を高槻市古曽部で生活した。
The main character in this sixth installment of the series is Ise, famous for her poem from the Hyakunin Isshu, (a Japanese Anthology of One Hundred Poems). She lived her later years in Kosobe, Takatsuki City.
10代の時、伊勢は宇多天皇の中宮だった藤原温子に仕えていたが、温子の弟の藤原仲平に見染められて熱烈な恋愛となる。しかし、仲平は関白家の御曹司。身分の違いで破局へ。伊勢は宮中を離れ、吉野の滝に身投げをするが、助けられて死ぬこともできない。
In her teens, Ise was in the service of Fujiwara no Atsuko, the middle palace of Emperor Uda, when she was discovered by Fujiwara no Nakahira, younger brother of Atsuko, and they fell madly in love. However, Nakahira was a sergeant in the Kanpaku family. Due to the difference in their status, the two fell out. Ise leaves the court and throws herself into a waterfall in Yoshino, but is saved and is unable to die.
伊勢を懐かしく思う温子の求めに応じて、伊勢は失恋を乗り越えて成長したキャリアウーマンとして、再び宮中に。その後、貴族の御曹司たちからの求愛が相次ぐが、そんな中、宇多天皇が伊勢を寵愛するようになり、男の子を産む。しかし、宇多天皇の寵愛も、伊勢が求めているものではなく、心から信頼できる相手と本当の恋がしたいという思いは募る。At the request of Atsuko, who misses Ise, Ise rejoins the court as a career woman who has grown up after overcoming a broken heart. Thereafter, she is courted by a succession of aristocratic sergeants, but then Emperor Uda comes to favor Ise and she gives birth to a boy. However, Emperor Uda's favor is not what Ise is looking for, and her desire for true love with someone she can truly trust grows.
もう、40歳にもなった伊勢は宮中で、和歌や笛・琴を教えていると、ある日、宇多天皇の子、敦慶（あつよし）親王と出会う。14歳年下の敦慶親王は、箏の師である伊勢に恋をする。敦慶親王のやさしさや情熱に伊勢は心を打たれ、これこそ自分の求めていた本当の”愛”だと知る。
伊勢は敦慶親王と結ばれ、中務（彼女も平安時代の有名な和歌の作家）を産み、幸せな家庭を築く。
One day, while teaching Waka, flute, and Koto at court, Ise, now 40 years old, meets Prince Atsuyoshi, son of Emperor Uda, who is 14 years younger than her and falls in love with Ise, his koto master. Ise is moved by the tenderness and passion of Prince Atsuyoshi, and knows that this is the true "love" she has been looking for.
Ise and Prince Atsukei are united in marriage, give birth to Nakamitsu (who is also a famous Waka poet of the Heian period), and raise a happy family.
