Combination Madness - Star (Savestateless)

Описание: This is a minihack made by Viper which is a spiritual successor to Redmat527's series of one stage challenge hacks. This hack includes pieces of Slope Challenge, Lavabounce Challenge, and both Wallkick Challenge 1 and 2. Definitely a very neat idea and it fits quite well with the style of Redmat's previous hacks, despite him only providing the original level models for this hack.

This star is not as difficult as Wallkick Challenge 2, but the beginning I would say is more tricky to do consistently. To make up for it, the star cools down a lot in the second half, with only one really difficult jump after the metal cap (at 1:50). This hack has slope patch so the slope jumps here are lenient. The beginning has some difficult sections, such as the slope where you need to dive and the purple walls just before the metal cap. Making the landing from the final purple wall to the slope without overshooting is the most difficult part of this entire star.

Quite a good stage by Viper. Whilst it does not feel as polished as Redmat's challenge hacks in my opinion, there is a lot to like about this stage. If there ever is another short challenge hack like this I'll most likely play it. This subgenre of short kaizo hacks tends to be quite fun.
