After a chaotic afternoon at St Andrew’s, where the Blades battled to a point with ten men following Femi Seriki’s red card, one big talking point came out of the game — the switch back to a back three.

United went 1-0 down, missed a penalty, and it really felt like it wasn’t going to be our night… but Pat Bamford’s equaliser gave the Blades a lifeline. From there, the switch to three at the back seemed to settle things down and helped United see the game out for a hard-earned draw.

So the big question now…

Is it time to bring back the back three?

It’s a system that’s brought the Blades plenty of success in the past — but is it the answer right now? Or was it simply a case of game management with ten men?
