North Korea has been categorized as "Not-Free",... in the Freedom in the World 2022 report released by Freedom House on Friday.
The report is compiled under three categories... "free", "partly free", and "not free"... based on civil liberties... and political rights.
Pyeongyang received points in the civil liberties section, scoring three points overall out of a maximum sixty available.
The report said... that sharply restricting internal movement and enforcing lockdowns due to COVID-19 worsened the regime's human rights situation.
It added... not officially reporting COVID-19 domestic cases... despite numerous reports of suspected cases was another reason.
Meanwhile,... South Korea was categorized a "free country" with a score of 83 out of one-hundred... tying with the U.S.
