Join us on another leg of our southbound journey down I-95 in Georgia, covering miles 106 to 80. In this video, we pass through Chatham County, approach Savannah, and explore several key exits including the Savannah/Hilton Head Airport, the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force, and Fort McAllister State Historic Park. I-95 in Georgia
Interstate 95 enters Georgia from South Carolina just north of Savannah, crossing the Savannah River into Chatham County. It runs south through the coastal plain, passing west of Savannah and providing access to the city via several exits. The highway continues through Bryan, Liberty, McIntosh, Glynn, and Camden counties, serving towns like Richmond Hill, Hinesville (via U.S. 84), Darien, and Brunswick. In Glynn County, it connects to Jekyll Island and St. Simons Island through U.S. 17 and Spur 25. I-95 also passes near Kingsland and St. Marys before reaching the Florida state line just south of Woodbine. The entire stretch offers access to barrier islands, historic towns, and natural preserves along Georgia’s Atlantic coast.
