1966 Volvo Amazon: Badge of the 122S

The other night, while I was working on some videos, my wife asked what the "S" stood for on the 122S badge. The answer is curious.
Strangely, even though there was no other trim designation, once the Amazon got a four-speed gearbox in 1958, it became the "122 Sports." For the next 12 years, until it went out of production in 1970, and what was the "Amazon" only in Nordic countries, was badged as the 122S for all models in all markets.
There were many trim levels and models, along with lots of mechanical upgrades and variations over the 14 years of production, but as it was always officially the 122S. Volvo's naming was normalized with the 140/160 series, followed by the 240, but has never been very clear despite using numbers instead of names.
The 122S is an iconic badge, so I decided to honor it with some arts and crafts. Who knows, maybe one of you will end up with what I made!
