Did US And Israel Miscalculate Iran’s Military Capabilities | IRGC Targets US Military Bases

Описание: The ongoing conflict between Iran, the United States and Israel is rapidly escalating, with Iran demonstrating significant military capabilities through coordinated regional strikes and strategic moves that have shaken global energy markets.

At the center of Iran’s military response is the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), a powerful force established in 1979 by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini following the Iranian Revolution. Unlike Iran’s regular military, the IRGC reports directly to the Supreme Leader and maintains its own army, navy, air force, intelligence network and the Basij paramilitary force.

Following the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, the IRGC has intensified operations across the region. Iranian forces have reportedly targeted multiple US and allied military bases, including Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, Al Salem Base in Kuwait, Al Dhafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates, the US Fifth Fleet base in Bahrain, Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia and Erbil Airport in Iraq.

The conflict has already resulted in casualties, with at least seven US service members reportedly killed. Iran has also claimed to have destroyed advanced US defense infrastructure, including a Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system and major early warning radar installations.

In a dramatic move, the IRGC closed the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important energy corridors through which more than 20 million barrels of oil pass daily. The move has pushed global oil prices above 100 dollars per barrel.

Meanwhile, Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of the late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, has emerged as a powerful figure in Tehran. With strong ties to the IRGC leadership, Mojtaba is expected to play a crucial role in shaping Iran’s next strategic decisions in the ongoing conflict.
