Описание: Last week while so many were dealing with the frustration of not being able to see family like they wanted for Thanksgiving, a young black man named Aidan Ellison was shot and killed in a hotel parking lot just blocks from where I lived in Ashland, Oregon. Aidan’s murderer, a 47 year old white man, was upset at the volume of music coming from his car, was illegally carrying a concealed weapon, and after not being treated as the authority he perceived himself to be, shot Aidan in the chest. Both were displaced victims of the recent Almeda Fire staying at the hotel in the interim.

This song is dedicated to Aidan, who will never be able to experience the joy or frustration of coming home again. Oregonians within driving distance, a vigil in Aidan’s honor will be held today (December 2nd) at the Jackson County Courthouse from 3:45 - 5pm (100 S. Oakdale Ave, Medford OR).
