Hold Me Down is the debut single from the forthcoming album, RISE: Past, Present and Future Talent written and performed by the young musicians supported by the charity Future Talent. The track, composed by 16-year-old singer-songwriter and guitarist Jimmy Judge from Bedford, is performed by his band, The Greensands, alongside young musicians from Future Talent and the Encore Summer School.
RISE: Past, Present and Future Talent is a multi-genre album produced by James Hawkins which delves into what the future of music might look like. Ivor Novello Award-winning Nitin Sawhney creates compositions which represent the voice of AI robot in the future - one that is envious of the extraordinary talent of today’s young musicians, a gift that AI can never truly replicate.
It also features compositions from Future Talent's young musicians and includes collaborations with esteemed artists such as the Hallé, VOCES8, and the National Children’s Choir of Great Britain. This project celebrates 20 years of Future Talent's mission to support and nurture young musicians from low-income backgrounds across the UK.
