A mildly-moist collection of videos taken across the space of 40 minutes at this level crossing beside the station serving Stanstead St. Margarets and Stanstead Abbotts, Hertfordshire. This level crossing is controlled via CCTV from Liverpool Street, and in its current form bodily dates back to 2003 during re-signalling on the line. Both alarms and the LED's are obviously newer than that, but three of the four original 'SPX Fluid Power' barriers remain though one hangs over a fair bit when raised. The station sees half-hourly services between Hertford East and London Liverpool Street, and with the crossing point nearby, sometimes the barriers are raised in between, and sometimes not. Thankfully, these two pairs of trains were spaced out enough for four lowerings to be caught. A double-train lowering happened shortly before, but the rain was too heavy for a good video at that moment.

Anecdotal section: For the most part, this crossing is completely how I remember it on my first visit here at the start of 2012, a considerable amount of time (for me at least) before l started this channel. However, it was the classics from ‪@Welwyn22‬ (hello if you're seeing this through notifications!) that I remember from a young age (some of these were from all the way back in 2006) and inspired me to want to visit, and I have also been and filmed here a few times since my first visit.
