Assemblymember Tommy John Schiavoni and Suffolk County Democratic Chair candidate, Kathryn Casey Quigley joined PEER for our Feb 10 meeting.
AM Schiavoni gave an overview of the budget and answer questions. PEER priorities include advocating for passage of the NY Health Act, modernizing NY tax structure to pay for much need services for working New Yorkers, and ensuring the state carries forward on funding their climate initiatives.
Kathryn Casey Quigley, current Southold Democratic chair, discussed her campaign for County Democratic chair. Quigley is an organized, effective leader. As Southold chair, she turned the town's elected reps from predominantly R to overwhelmingly Democrats using innovative campaign strategies, fielding quality candidates, and energizing voters. She needs our help to win.
