In short
Windshield wipers have 2 positions.
Normal position will have the wiper blade sitting directly on he heater element built into the windshield glass.
Winter position or High position will have the wiper blade higher on the windshield closer to the interior defrost vent. To get to this position just pull up on the wiper arm and it will snap up.
2016 ES350 does not have the service mode that electronically stops the wiper blades straight up. You will need to hit the start/stop button OFF when the arms are up. This will allow you to change the wiper blades.
