After a while, you may notice that the faders on your Allen and Heath Xone 62 DJ mixer start to "bleed" the music - that is to say, when they are at their lowest position, they still let the music through. Alternatively, you may find that the fader only lets one side of a stereo source through, or the position of the fader makes no difference to the volume. A replacement fader will usually fix these problems.
In the video, I explain how to replace a fader, and the tools required to do so. It is really straightforward and no soldering is required for all but the oldest models of the Xone 62. The procedure is the same for the Xone 32 and the Xone 464, although the position of the screws and ribbon cables may vary.
The part number for the replacement fader is 002-684. This costs between £16 and £22 depending on the seller and can be bought via eBay or other online retailers, or direct from your local Allen and Heath distributor. See their website for contact details:
