Unlike typical round koftas, authentic Mutsch are uniquely shaped and prepared without onions or tomatoes, staying true to traditional roots.
Ingredients for Meatballs:
500g Ground Chicken (minced)
1 Egg (for binding)
3 tbsp Oil
1/4 tsp Hing (Asafoetida)
Spices: 1 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli, 1 tsp Fennel Powder, 1 tsp Ginger Powder, Salt
Ingredients for Gravy:
500ml Water
Whole Spices: Bay leaf, Black & Green Cardamom, Cumin seeds, Cinnamon
1-2 tsp Salt
1.5 tsp Fennel Powder & 1 tsp Ginger Powder
2 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
Instructions:
Mix minced chicken with spices, egg, and oil; shape into traditional spindles.
Boil water with whole spices, then gently drop in the meatballs.
Add gravy spices and simmer for 15-20 minutes until tender.
Serve hot with steamed rice! 🍚
