The She Threads Program, highlighted alongside Punjab's budget priorities, focuses on empowering women through vocational training, entrepreneurship support, and sustainable livelihood opportunities.

The Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has strengthened its commitment to women’s economic empowerment through the She Threads Initiative. The program is designed to provide rural women with professional textile training, monthly financial support, and employment opportunities in Pakistan’s growing textile industry.

The initiative aims to transform the lives of thousands of women by equipping them with practical skills that can help them secure jobs, generate income, and become financially independent.

The Punjab government has approved an allocation of Rs310 million for the “She Threads” initiative, a programme designed to strengthen the economic independence and vocational capabilities of women living in rural areas through specialised training in the textile industry.

The programme is open to women aged 18 and 45 from across rural Punjab who have completed at least middle-level education. Participants will receive a monthly stipend of Rs15,000 during the training period, along with transportation assistance.

Under the initiative, women are training in 10 textile-related fields and creating opportunities for long-term financial stability.
