"Hold Ya Head" is a posthumous track from the 1999 album Born Again by The Notorious B.I.G. The song features an introduction by Cedella Booker and is built on a previously unreleased verse. The lyrics from The Notorious B.I.G. address themes of perseverance over hardship. The production samples "Roses Are Red" by The Mac Band, and the track is an example of a posthumous release in the hip hop genre which combines archival vocals with new production and hip hop elements.
