Rob McLure allowed C.O.A.S.T. Fish Club to record his presentation on 9/08/24 and is letting us disseminate his talk on behalf of the club! We truly appreciate the opportunity to record our speakers' presentations for future fishkeepers to learn from. It isn't common for speakers to allow recording of their talks for a myriad of reasons, so we truly value this opportunity to provide corydoras lovers more content to learn from.
Please remember to like and subscribe to COAST Fish Club's YouTube channel for more content of our events, BTS footage at local fish shops, breeders' fish rooms, and more!
With our usual club meeting location, FV Senior Center, being unavailable last weekend, last minute changes were made and were graciously accommodated by Bonnie Person, the owner of Verdant Vivariums in Fountain Valley, CA. We can't thank her enough for allowing our club to present in her 3000+ square foot warehouse space. COAST Fish Club will likely be working with Bonnie on a "frog and amphibians" meeting again at Verdant Vivariums in the near future! Stay tuned for more information on this upcoming event.
For our club members and guests in attendance yesterday that were in the back area by the alleyway, this is your opportunity to revisit the presentation on YT and recapture anything you may have missed out on. For those of you whom did not attend, you sure are lucky to be able to watch the presentation now! We appreciate all of you whom attended for sticking through it with us in the 105 degree heater! Thank you all for making this club's first meeting away from "home" this year a successful one.
C.O.A.S.T.'s Breeder's Award Program benefitted massively from September's event, with one dedicated member bidding upwards of nearly $400 for Rob McLure's F2 batch of Aspidoras Albater, amongst only a handful of them are known to be kept in the hobby to date in North America. A truly stunning and rarely kept "corydora" (really, Aspidoras), in the hobby. Congratulations to the winner of the BAP auction and hopefully we'll see more Aspidoras Albater in our club auctions soon enough :)
(Regarding the footage, we do recognize that the angle and the cardboard flap within view are not ideal, however there were very few locations to properly mount a GoPro tripod for the recording. They will get better as time goes on, the most important thing is you can clearly hear what Rob is presenting to the club!
