Описание: Dr. Weiner is highlighting the risks of the deep supraperiosteal filler injection in the temple. The most popular technique being used is not as safe as everyone thinks. There is a deep temporal artery which lies on the bone. Using the deep “Gunshot” or “Swift” technique can lead to occlusion of this vessel and/or blindness. Even a negative flash with aspiration does not prevent an intravascular injection. (Dr. Jani Van Loghem’s paper shows a nice diagram of this phenomenon). Be careful of injections in the temples- newer and better techniques on the horizon.
