The press reported a sighting of Steven Spielberg at the Quibi offices and mentioned names like Leonardo DiCaprio and Guillermo del Toro, who are reportedly working with the new company. The original Quibi offices were modest, but the company’s connections are impressive. Plus, they have received support from all the major movie studios. Jeffrey Katzenberg revealed that people in the industry are actually rooting for them to succeed, which, he admitted, is not always the case in their business. “If it works, it’s great for everyone,” he said. The Quibi offices in West Hollywood have a view of the Hollywood sign from the roof. Quibi is both part of Hollywood history, and exploring completely new ground. Jeffrey Katzenberg is not daunted by the enormity of the task he’s taken on. He seems completely relaxed, and thrilled by the challenge.
