This recording of For What It's Worth was made by Band Of Joy in around late 1967/early 1968 along with a few other tunes, in the hope of securing a record contract that never came through. The sound of Zeppelin to come is clearly heard in Plant's raw and soulful vocals, and in the very active and distinctive drumming from Bonzo. There is a bit of an unreleased track called Memory Lane that is heard in the new Becoming Led Zeppelin documentary, that I hope will be cleaned up and released at some point. It sounds great! It would be nice if all the tracks from these sessions were released in good audio as well, like For What It's Worth and Got To Find My Baby.
