Monarchies have been a symbol of power and wealth throughout history, with their crowns serving as a visual representation of their authority. Starting at number ten, we have the Crown of Norway, created by Swedish jeweler Olof Wihlborg in 1818. This closed model consists of a ring holding eight gold hoops, adorned with pearls and precious stones such as alexandrite, topaz, amethyst, and chrysoprase. Weighing 1,500 grams and measuring 24.5cm tall and 18.5cm in diameter, this crown has also been placed on the casket of departed monarchs.

At number nine, we have the Spanish Royal Crown, also known as the corona tumular. Though the monarch never wears it, this physical crown is used during Spanish royal proclamation ceremonies. The crown and scepter are on display for the first time ever in the Crown Room at the Royal Palace of Madrid.

Moving on to number eight, we have the Crown of Louis XV of France. Made in 1722 and used for the coronation of the king, this historic crown was one of the most expensive of its time. However, its value has greatly declined since the French Third Republic sold its expensive jewels in 1885. The crown is currently on display at Paris's Louvre Museum.

At number seven, we have the Crown of João VI of Portugal, worth a whopping eight million dollars. Made up of emeralds, sapphires, rubies, pearls, and diamonds set in pure gold, this crown weighs 1.5kg and is stored in Lisbon's Ajuda National Palace.

Number six is the Crown of Christian V of Denmark, weighing over 1.8kg and adorned with sapphires, garnets, diamonds, and a stunning cabochon ruby above the cross of diamonds. This crown is currently on display at Rosenberg Castle in Copenhagen.
