Описание: On 27 May 1997, an exceptionally powerful F5 tornado struck the town of Jarrell, TX. Starting out as a small needle, it first touched down at 3:21-3:22 P.M. on May 27, 1997. It was captured on film by KVUE affiliate and photojournalist Scott Guest as it moved through open fields, occasionally shredding a few haybales. It then passed by the small community of Prairie Dell, TX. After this, the tornado moved northwest before continuing on its due southwesterly track before suddenly dissipating. Moments later, massive amounts of dust and debris were kicked up. It wasn’t long before the dust formed into a massive wedge. It was now ripping livestock apart in fields as it was filmed by multiple people. Soon after, the debris cloud went transparent, and the infamous ‘Dead Man Walking’ photo was taken by Scott Beckwith from the Jarrell Farm Supply building at 3:42. The dust solidified once more, before the tornado moved into the small subdivision of Double Creek Estates. Tragically, it would linger over the quiet community for about 3 minutes, inflicting apocalyptic damage to homes. By the time dissipated in a wooded area, 26 people would be dead. The 27th victim would pass the next day. It would become one of the most infamous tornadoes to ever touch the planet.

This video aims to perhaps clear up confusion around its life, and to synchronize footage and plot the tornado’s location in real time for better understanding of the storm’s structure and/or for convenience. It contains snippets of all known videos of the tornado.
